o) Your machine:
Intel Pentium 150 running at 166. Windows 95 B. 64 Megabytes RAM.
o) Your Rendition graphics card:
Hercules Thriller 3D. 8 Megabytes RAM. PCI. BIOS 1.04.141. Drivers 0.77.3493.
o) Do you have a DDDFX card installed?
No
o) Have you successfully run a RRedline game (e.g. GPL demo for Rendition) on your machine?
Yes, some of these include Interstate 76, Sub Culture and Quake II.
o) Did you test BigRedCroc before - if yes, did it run ok?
Worked great
o) List of all games/demos tested on your machine:
(title, runs (yes/no), subjective evaluation: slow/fast, visuals ok/not ok...)
GL Hexen II demo, using the supplied GL drivers. Starts up fine, the menus and console work. Chromakey/blending is sometimes wrong. The game will not start. It quits.
Nuclear Strike demo from a PC Gamer disc. Reverts to software mode without even telling me.
Die By the Sword demo from PC Gamer disc. (a pretty early demo) All menu/title screens are wrong, indicating LFB problems. In-game graphics are fabulous, looks great and runs fast. (I estimate about 25 fps) However it often quits/crashes for no reason. You have to use "2" for the texture setting.
Excalibur - looks great, runs great. Items are hidden on the inventory screen.
Quake II - Crashes.
Voodoo Lights - Excellent visuals and speed. Configuration screen doesn't work.
Keep up the good work! By the way, if you try a screen saver and it quits right away, change your desktop to the same resolution as the screen saver. (Usually, it's 640x480.) Some screen savers will quit if they detect the resolution changing.
